The required book & workbook is included in the class tuition. The Certified Nursing Assistant course prepares you for a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This course includes an online lecture component, in-classroom instruction, skills practice and clinicals in a patient-care setting. This is an intense six-week course. You will be required to get the following and provide it: PPD/TB Test, Physical, Flu Shot, Drug Test, and SLED background check. The following components must be completed: 1.FACET Healthcare Training (the online book/knowledge component) 2.Face-to-Face Skills Practice 3.40 Clinical hours in a healthcare facility. You will receive an email with your FACET login credentials as well as a Student Expectation Form, a Course Pacing Guide, and a Skills Practice/Clinical hours schedule. PLEASE NOTE: You will be required to attend in-person classes for the first three weeks of class (Monday-Friday) at either 8am-11am OR 12pm-3pm and five 8-hour clinical shifts that will vary throughout the remainder of the six weeks. While attending these sessions, you must be engaged in skills learning as either a provider, a patient, coach, or evaluator.
