Message from the Foundation Chair Tim Tilley

I am honored to serve as Chairman of the Board at Horry-Georgetown Technical College
Foundation. The Foundation provides support to Horry Georgetown Technical College
as it provides quality, affordable higher education to the residents of Horry and
Georgetown Counties. We are proud of our 30-plus years of partnering with Horry-Georgetown
Technical College for its continued success in our communities, providing stability
and growth of the workforce and economy. Our all volunteer Board of Directors is committed
to ensuring good stewardship of the resources contributed, as our operating budget
is maintained at less than 5% of our asset base.
Our mission is to develop relationships with donors to fund student scholarships, temporary student emergency funding, new programs of study, enhancements of existing programs, equipment needs, building needs, and many other College initiatives that are not funded through the state or other traditional revenue sources.

We would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to discuss the many ways that you can contribute to the success of the thousands of students who are enrolled in Horry-Georgetown Technical College. Monetary contributions are welcome; however, we also seek other forms of contributions in the College.
Many of our donors find personal fulfillment in knowing that they are helping smart, dedicated, positive and focused students pursue their higher education in order to earn a degree that they can immediately put to productive and rewarding use in the Horry Georgetown workforce.
