The Residential/Commercial Electrical Technician Certificate program is intended to train and prepare students as entry level electricians for residential and commercial maintenance electrical positions. Students will learn to install and maintain electrical equipment, read blueprints, and troubleshoot/repair electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
Career Outlook
Demand for residential and commercial electricians is currently high in the Horry and Georgetown communities. Entry-level salaries range from an average annual salary of $27,000 to $31,000. Graduates of the program will be able to install, maintain, and repair electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems in homes, businesses and construction sites.
