HGTC Foundation to Host 13th Annual Gala - Home Edition on Sept. 26
Silent Auction items will be available for bidding September 19.
The Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) Foundation Board of Directors and The
Confrerie de la Chaine des Rotisseurs of Myrtle Beach are pleased to announce that
the show will go on for its 13th Annual Gala sponsored by Horry Telephone Cooperative
(HTC). The community is invited to attend this year’s reimagined gala, coming to a
home near you on Saturday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased for
$250 per person on the HGTC Foundation website before Wednesday, September 23.
An exclusive three hors d’oeuvres and four course culinary dinner with wine will be available to pick up on Saturday, September 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the HGTC International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach, 920 Crabtree Lane, Myrtle Beach.
The Annual Gala is the major fundraising event for the year and includes entertainment, silent and live auction, a delicious gourmet menu prepared by HGTC professional chef instructors, and so much more. The event will be held virtually and raise funds to support the culinary programs and scholarships for culinary students attending HGTC. This annual event has proven to be a phenomenal success, with over $950,000 raised in the past twelve years.

The Foundation is very fortunate to have the ongoing support of HTC and other local businesses,” said Mr. Neyle Wilson, HGTC Foundation President. “The committed support of our sponsors and loyalty of our attendees are what makes this the best event of the year. Over the past 12 years, the Annual Gala has raised over $950,000. We are hopeful we can achieve the one million dollar level this year.”
The purpose of the HGTC Foundation is to raise funds to support the programs, services and activities of HGTC, its students and employees, and to create and cultivate positive relationships between the College and the community.
“The Annual Gala event has been an extraordinary success for the College raising nearly one million dollars in the past twelve years for scholarships, student support, and numerous college projects,” said Dr. Marilyn Murph Fore, HGTC President. “We are so pleased with the continued support of our Foundation President, Board of Directors, Chaine Des Rotisseurs, and numerous business and industry partners in our community.”
The HGTC Foundation invites the community to become involved as the College continues to foster its reputation as a high quality learning and teaching institution with a student-centered environment. The community can enhance this vision with financial support for scholarships, programs, facilities or other needs; donation of equipment or technology; mentoring students; providing internships; and service on various academic or foundation advisory boards.
The Silent Auction will take place September 19 – September 26 at 11:59 p.m.
The Live Auction will take place September 26 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
