HGTC Foundation Receives Support from US Foods
(CONWAY, SC) – The Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) Foundation was recently presented with a check from representatives of US Foods. The $6,000.00 donation is in support of the Annual HGTC Foundation Black Tie Gala scheduled for April 2, 2022. It will also be used to further enhance the opportunities for the International Culinary Institute students.
“On behalf of the HGTC Foundation, I would like to thank US Foods for their many years of commitment to the HGTC Foundation Gala and to the International Culinary Institute,” said Mr. Neyle Wilson, HGTC Foundation President and CEO. “We are immensely grateful for their continued support, which helps to enhance the opportunities for our students and our community.”
“US Foods is honored to continue our support for the annual HGTC Foundation Black Tie Gala. We are proud of our long-standing partnership with the International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach. Contributing to this incredible event allows us to support the culinary arts program here locally. It’s been inspiring to watch this program grow over the years, and we are happy to be a small part of this great school and the students on their culinary journey,” said Mr. Ray Riggs, US Foods District Sales Manager.
The HGTC Foundation Fourteenth Annual Black-Tie Gala will be held Saturday, April
2, 2022, at The International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach. The Annual Gala
is the major fundraising event for the year and includes live entertainment, silent
auction, a delicious gourmet menu prepared by HGTC professional chef instructors,
a live auction, and so much more. The event will be in person and will raise funds
to support the culinary programs and scholarships for culinary students attending
HGTC.
The purpose of the HGTC Foundation is to raise funds to support the programs, services,
and activities of HGTC, its students and employees, and to create and cultivate positive
relationships between the College and the community.
The HGTC Foundation invites the community to become involved as the College continues to foster its reputation as a high-quality learning and teaching institution with a student-centered environment. The community can enhance this vision with financial support for scholarships, programs, facilities, or other needs; donation of equipment or technology; mentoring students; providing internships; and service on various academic or foundation advisory boards.
