Chomp's Got Talent 2025 Chomp's Got Talent Competition

Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) Office of Student Engagement is excited to announce the highly anticipated return of Chomp’s Got Talent, the College’s annual talent competition. The 2nd annual event will take place on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Burroughs & Chapin Auditorium on the Conway Campus. This thrilling showcase of student talent is named in honor of Chomp, HGTC’s beloved alligator mascot, and promises to be an unforgettable evening of entertainment.

Following the overwhelming success of last year’s inaugural event, HGTC students are once again invited to step into the spotlight and compete for the grand prize. With cash prizes of $500 for 1st place, $250 for 2nd place, and $100 for 3rd place, the stakes are high, and the talent is bound to impress. Contestants will showcase a variety of skills, including singing, dancing, comedy, and more, as they compete for the top honors.

“We are thrilled to bring back Chomp’s Got Talent for its second year,” said Rebecca Kaneiwa, HGTC Student Engagement Director. “This event is a fantastic way for students to share their incredible talents with the community while creating lasting memories. We encourage everyone to come out and support these amazing performers.”

The competition is free and open to the public, providing an exciting evening of entertainment for students, faculty, staff, and community members alike. Celebrity judges will be in attendance to help determine the winners, and audience members will have the chance to cheer on their favorite contestants.

“As President of HGTC, I am proud to see our students’ creativity and talent on full display,” said Dr. Marilyn “Murph” Fore, HGTC President. “Chomp’s Got Talent is more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of our students’ dedication, passion, and artistic abilities. We invite everyone to join us for what is sure to be a spectacular evening.”
