2025 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) All-State Academic Team
Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is proud to announce that Angelina Rockhill, a dedicated Digital Arts student, has been selected for the prestigious 2025 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) All-State Academic Team. This recognition honors her outstanding academic achievements, leadership, and service within both the College and the community.
Angelina is among only forty-one students chosen from the South Carolina Technical College System for this distinction. The South Carolina Technical College System will host a recognition awards ceremony on April 10, 2025, to celebrate these exceptional students.
“Professor Mroz and I have had the privilege of teaching Angelina over the past two years, and we are delighted to see her hard work recognized in such a meaningful way,” said Colleen Balzotti, HGTC Professor of Digital Arts. “She is a truly exceptional student, demonstrating creativity, dedication, and a strong work ethic.”
Angelina’s academic excellence is matched by her commitment to supporting her peers and fostering a collaborative learning environment. She consistently produces high-quality work, meets deadlines, and is always willing to assist fellow students. Outside of the classroom, she works at WonderWorks in the café, where she is known for her professionalism, thoughtfulness, and dependability.
Angelina’s hard work has also earned her acceptance into the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where she plans to pursue a career in video game design. Her creativity and problem-solving skills will undoubtedly help her excel in this competitive field.
Her ability to balance academic excellence, work responsibilities, and community engagement is truly remarkable. She is a shining example of the talent and dedication present at HGTC, and we are excited to see all she will accomplish in the future.
HGTC invites the community to celebrate Angelina’s success and view the exceptional work of the Class of 2025 at the upcoming Student Showcase on Thursday, April 17, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Grand Strand Campus Business Center.
