HGTC Foundation presents $27,500 to the International Culinary Institute of Myrtle
Beach
The Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) Foundation is proud to announce the presentation of a $27,500 donation to the International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach, supporting study abroad programs for aspiring culinary professionals.
The funds were raised through the success of the 2nd annual "Flights & Bites" event, held in October 2024. This donation reinforces the HGTC Foundation’s commitment to providing students with opportunities to pursue their passion for the culinary arts and gain hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art learning environment.
“We are incredibly grateful for the continued generosity of our sponsors, attendees, and community partners who made this donation possible,” said Shannon Detzler, President & CEO of the HGTC Foundation. “These funds will directly impact our students by easing financial barriers and enhancing their educational journey.”
