HGTC Announces Dr. Kelly Perritt as new Chief Marketing and Brand Strategy Officer

Dr. Kelly Perritt, HGTC Chief Marketing and Brand Strategy Officer

Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Kelly Perritt as its new Chief Marketing and Brand Strategy Officer. Dr. Perritt brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, communications, and strategic planning, with a proven track record of building and amplifying brands.

Dr. Perritt most recently served as the Senior Executive Director of Marketing at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), where she played a key role in aligning branding with internal culture and customer experience. Her expertise spans healthcare communications, social media, media relations, community engagement, business development, and marketing. She has also held adjunct roles at MUSC Health, MUSC College of Health Professions, Southern New Hampshire University, and Grand Canyon University.

Dr. Perritt’s visionary leadership will help us strengthen our connection with students, alumni, and the broader community.”

Dr. Perritt holds a Ph.D. in Human Services with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration from Capella University. She also earned a Master of Mass Communication with a focus on Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of South Carolina Aiken. In addition, she completed a Graduate Certificate in Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University.  She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Marketing at Southern New Hampshire University. 

In her new role, Dr. Perritt will lead efforts to enhance the HGTC brand identity and marketing strategies, driving a strategic direction to support the institution’s mission and growth. She will focus on expanding HGTC’s reach and visibility statewide, regionally, and nationally, strengthening the College’s reputation as a leader in higher education.
