HGTC Professor Launches New Book to Support Disabled American Veterans

Dr. Michael Roberts, Professor of English at Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC), has released his latest book, Proof of Life, to resounding success. The book, which launched shortly after Thanksgiving, quickly climbed the Amazon charts to #8 in just a few days.

Priced at only $7 for the paperback, Proof of Life not only offers readers an engaging literary experience but also supports a meaningful cause. Over $5 from each book sold, along with all author royalties, is being donated to the Disabled American Veterans organization. Dr. Roberts has also pledged to contribute a personal bonus donation should the book reach the coveted #1 spot on Amazon.

“This project is very close to my heart,” said Dr. Roberts. “It’s an opportunity to give back to those who have sacrificed so much for our country.”

For those interested in supporting this cause and finding the perfect holiday gift, Proof of Life is available for purchase on Amazon. To further connect with readers and supporters, Dr. Roberts will host a book signing event this Thursday, December 12, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Café 1100 on the HGTC Conway Campus. Books will be available during the signing while supplies last.
