Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) and the HGTC Foundation are proud to announce the appointment of Bryan Lenertz to the Foundation’s Board of Directors.

It was here that he met his wife and established a family, which includes their two sons and a niece who also lives with them.  With over 20 years of banking experience, primarily with community banks, Lenertz currently serves as Senior Vice President at Anderson Brothers Bank. Over the past 12 years, he has been instrumental in expanding the Horry County market, achieving remarkable growth of over $1 billion.

Lenertz also holds a Real Estate License and a Broker in Charge License, showcasing his diverse professional background. Additionally, he previously held a builder’s license, further demonstrating his expertise in various fields.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Lenertz is an active and dedicated member of the community. He currently serves on the Board of the Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation and the Atlantic Collegiate Academy, a new charter high school that is about to complete its first academic year and will be moving into its newly constructed facility this fall. His previous board memberships include the YMCA and the Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach, reflecting his commitment to community service and development.

Shannon Detzler, HGTC Foundation Board President, expressed enthusiasm about Lenertz’s appointment.  “On behalf of the Foundation staff, I would like to congratulate Bryan Lenertz on his nomination to the College Board of Directors. It is my honor and privilege to welcome such an outstanding community member as our newest elected member of this dynamic organization. We are thrilled to have him serve on our Board, and we look forward to working with him in the coming years. I believe his knowledge, expertise, and vision will be an invaluable contribution in helping the Foundation reach our goals.”

“Bryan Lenertz’s diverse background and his dedication to the Myrtle Beach community make him a valuable addition to the College Foundation Board of Directors,” said Dr. Marilyn Murphy Fore, HGTC President.  “The College is excited to benefit from his insights and leadership as they continue to strive towards their mission of providing exceptional educational opportunities and fostering community growth.”
