The Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) Foundation is proud to announce MINDZERØ as the Premier Event Sponsor for the upcoming HGTC Foundation Annual Gala scheduled on Saturday, March 2, 2024. This sponsorship plays a pivotal role in providing student scholarships for the HGTC community.
The Annual Gala is the highlight of the fundraising calendar, featuring an hors d'oeuvre and champagne reception, live entertainment, a virtual silent auction, and a delectable five-course dinner crafted by HGTC professional chef instructors and students. The event, hosted at the HGTC International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach, aims to generate funds supporting culinary programs and scholarships for HGTC students.
“I am delighted to welcome MINDZERØ as the Premier Event Sponsor for the 2024 Annual Gala. Their commitment to our cause aligns seamlessly with the spirit of the event and our ongoing mission to support HGTC students,” expressed Mrs. Shannon Detzler, HGTC Foundation President & CEO. “MINDZERØ's support ensures the Gala continues to be a resounding success, empowering us to make a lasting impact on student lives. Together, we are building a brighter future for education and opportunities in our community.”
MINDZERØ's Chief Executive Officer, David Semerad, shared his excitement, stating, “We are honored to join forces with the Horry-Georgetown Technical College Foundation as the Premier Event Sponsor for the 2024 Annual Gala. We look forward to a night of inspiration, collaboration, and making a meaningful impact on the educational journey of students at HGTC.”
The purpose of the HGTC Foundation is to raise funds supporting programs, services, and activities at HGTC, benefiting its students and employees, and fostering positive relationships between the College and the community. Over the past 15 years, the Annual Gala has raised over $1,000,000.
"The success of the Annual Gala over the past fifteen years has been nothing short of extraordinary, and it stands as a testament to the unwavering support from our community. We are immensely grateful for the generosity of sponsors like MINDZERØ, whose commitment echoes our dedication to student success. The partnership with MINDZERØ and other supporters exemplifies the collective strength of our community in shaping the future of education and empowerment for our students,” said Dr. Marilyn Murphy Fore, HGTC President.
The HGTC Foundation invites the community to engage with the College's vision of being a high-quality learning and teaching institution with a student-centered environment. Contributions can include financial support for scholarships, programs, facilities, equipment, or technology donations, mentoring students, providing internships, and serving on academic or foundation advisory boards.
