Nick Papotto. HGTC Culinary Arts student, shared his experience, “I am so thankful for the opportunity to travel through the historic Italian countryside with Chef Lorenzo Polegri. Whether you are hard at work hand-rolling tortelli con la coda in the beautiful home of the chef or simply sipping state-of-the-art cappuccino at a cafe adjacent to a centuries-old duomo, it is true that in Italy, one thousand memories can be made in a single moment.”
“Each year, our students embark on a culinary voyage that broadens their horizons and deepens their understanding of global cuisine. This year’s study abroad trip to Italy was a resounding success, blending cultural immersion with culinary excellence. Our students’ experiences, from mastering the art of chocolate making to savoring the subtleties of Nobile di Montepulciano, exemplify the enriching education we strive to provide at the International Culinary Institute,” said Joe Bonaparte, HGTC Executive Director of the International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach.
This study abroad trip not only provided students with a wealth of knowledge and practical experience but also inspired a deeper passion for the culinary arts. HGTC remains committed to offering exceptional educational opportunities that extend beyond the classroom and into the global kitchen.
