Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) proudly announces Harold Hawley, HGTC Vice President for Finance and Administration, has achieved a significant professional milestone by obtaining his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in the state of South Carolina. This accomplishment adds to his existing licensure as a CPA in the state of Virginia.

Harold’s unwavering dedication, expertise, and commitment to excellence have culminated in this remarkable achievement across multiple states. As a CPA, he joins an elite group of professionals who uphold the highest standards of integrity and financial expertise.

In response to this achievement, Dr. Marilyn Murphy Fore, President of HGTC, stated, “Harold’s tireless efforts and exceptional leadership have been instrumental in advancing our College’s financial stability and growth. His dual licensure as a CPA demonstrates his commitment to professional excellence and dedication to our institution.”

As Vice President for Finance and Administration, Harold oversees critical departments, including Finance and Accounting, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Procurement, Capital Project Administration, Public Safety, Maintenance, Grounds, and Custodial Services. His extensive 20-year tenure at HGTC reflects his deep-rooted commitment to the College community.
