Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) and the International Culinary Institute (ICI), in partnership with Visit Myrtle Beach, are thrilled to announce their participation in the highly anticipated third season of the Cooking Channel’s hit series, “Chef Swap at The Beach.” As the culinary world turns its eyes to Myrtle Beach, ICI’s talented students are set to showcase their skills in an episode that promises to be a feast for the senses.
Airing on Saturday, September 28, at 7 p.m., the ICI episode is part of a season that kicks off on August 17. The institute’s involvement marks a significant milestone, highlighting the exceptional training and creativity fostered within its kitchens.
This season, viewers will be treated to an array of culinary delights as 16 innovative chefs from the Myrtle Beach area take on new challenges in seven (7) episodes. The finale, an hour-long special, will feature ICI students working alongside local chef mentors in a twist that adds depth and educational value to the competition.
“Chef Swap at The Beach” is more than a contest; it’s a narrative of passion, diversity, and dedication. Hosted by Chef Mason Zeglen, a two-time winner of Food Network’s “Guy’s Grocery Games,” the show brings to life the stories of chefs who are the heartbeat of the Myrtle Beach community.
“The International Culinary Institute is proud to be part of this journey, reflecting our commitment to culinary excellence and education. Don’t miss the opportunity to witness the future of culinary as our students take the stage on Saturday, September 28, at 7 p.m. on the Cooking Channel. Join us in celebrating the art of cooking and the vibrant culinary scene of Myrtle Beach,” said Joe Bonaparte, HGTC Executive Director of the International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach.
