HGTC Foundation Introduces Steve Kipe as Philanthropic Coordinator
Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) and the HGTC Foundation Board of Directors are proud to introduce Steve Kipe as the new Philanthropic Coordinator.
Steve brings over 10 years of experience working in ministry in the Myrtle Beach area. He also has an extensive background in marketing and media working for multiple radio and television stations in South Carolina, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Steve graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications/Journalism from Shippensburg University in 2001 and earned a graduate certificate in Christian Theology from Grand Canyon University in 2020.
As Philanthropic Coordinator, Steve will facilitate all fundraising events and donor relations. Shannon Detzler, HGTC Foundation President, has been impressed with what Steve has offered since being hired in late February.
“In a short time, Steve Kipe has proven his value and expertise to the HGTC Foundation. Coming on board the week of our annual gala, he was instrumental in organization and technology needs. He has furthered that with the implementation of a donor newsletter and has several projects on the horizon to boost marketing of the Foundation and promote our impact on HGTC students,” said Detzler.
The purpose of the HGTC Foundation is to raise funds to support the programs, services, and activities of Horry-Georgetown Technical College, its students and employees, and to create and strengthen positive relations between the College and the community.
