Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) proudly announces its Business Administration degree program has achieved its highest enrollment for the second consecutive semester as the program continues to expand. HGTC's enrollment in the Associate in Applied Science (AAS) Business Administration degree program has reached over 550 students.
The implementation of a Human Resources pathway to the AAS Business Administration degree this Fall added to the continued growth and is a direct response to the critical shortage expressed by business and industry leaders. In its inaugural term, the Human Resources pathway has demonstrated extraordinary strength indicated by class size and the number of sections offered, coupled with parallel Spring 2024 enrollment projections based on the continued interest expressed by perspective students.
“This exceptional accomplishment is a testament to HGTC's unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality instruction and educational experience to our current and future students. As we celebrate this achievement, we also reaffirm our dedication to nurturing and empowering the next generation of business leaders and professionals,” said Dr. Theresa Strong, HGTC Chair and Professor of Business Administration.
The Spring 2023 enrollment figures for the AAS Business Administration degree program shows HGTC as a leader in this category. The dedicated efforts of HGTC's esteemed faculty have played a pivotal role in securing this extraordinary achievement.
“HGTC remains steadfast in its mission to deliver excellence in education and looks forward to continuing to set the standard for academic achievement. We express our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated faculty, supportive staff, and enthusiastic students who have made this achievement possible,” said Dr. Marilyn Murphy Fore, HGTC president.
