HGTC Receives Community Partnership Award
Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is proud to announce that the College was
presented with this year’s Building Futures Community Partnership Award by A Father’s
Place, a local fatherhood nonprofit organization in Myrtle Beach, SC that focuses
on supporting fathers on their journey of fatherhood. The presentation was made at
the 4th Annual Building Futures Awards at Pine Lakes Country Club on June 9 honoring
leadership and advocacy on behalf of children and families.
“We are honored and proud to be recognized for our partnership with A Father’s Place,”
said Vincent Myers, HGTC Workforce Development Manager. “It is our mission to ensure
that our educational programs and certifications are made available to those within
the fatherhood initiative, and this year we are pleased to be able to offer those
programs and certifications for free to the community.”
