HGTC Receives Grant from Yawkey Foundation
Grant Awarded to HGTC for Wildlife Internship Positions.
Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is proud to announce that the Yawkey Foundation has awarded the College with a grant of $31,680 to support the wildlife internship positions at the Tom Yawkey Wildlife Center on the Georgetown Campus.
“HGTC has been the beneficiary of numerous Yawkey Foundation grants through the years, and we are so pleased to have the continued support and generosity for individuals and families in this area where the Yawkeys once called home,” said Dr. Marilyn M. Fore, HGTC President.
The Yawkey Foundation grant supports six current student interns at 400 hours each. There are 60 students at HGTC majoring in the Forestry and Wildlife Management program.
