HGTC Associate Professor Publishes “Stolen Babies of Spain: The Book”
Dr. Mara Lencina co-authors book to support the stolen babies cause.
Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is proud to announce that HGTC’s very own Dr. Maravillas “Mara” Lencina recently published a book co-authored by her husband, Greg Rabidoux, and a lawyer/author in Spain, Enrique Vila Torres. “Stolen Babies of Spain: The Book” is now available in all bookstores and Amazon in paperback and ebook.
“I feel like another step in a long journey has now been taken in trying to highlight the struggle of stolen baby victims in Spain and everywhere,” said Dr. Lencina. “I hope and pray that this book along with our film will help tilt the balance towards justice.”
The process of writing the book began when Mara and Greg started transcribing their interviews, notes, and journal from the research conducted for the documentary film in 2015.
“We really felt there was still so much to tell which we simply couldn't cover in the film. In the book, we do,” continued Lencina.
Mara and Greg hope that through this book they are able to reach an audience, especially an English-speaking audience, who may be learning of this struggle for the first time.
“We hope that readers will then become inspired to learn more and even get involved to help victims find justice before it’s too late. We know that we’ll keep working to try and help victims everywhere and protect future generations from ever having to endure what these courageous people have endured,” Lencina added.
All book sales will go to support the stolen babies cause.
