HGTC and CCU Reach Agreement for Business Administration Degree
HGTC and CCU officially sign agreement to allow business students to successfully transfer for the completion of a four-year degree.
Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) and Coastal Carolina University (CCU) recently signed an articulation agreement between the colleges for the HGTC Associate in Applied Science in Business Administration degree and the CCU Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree.
“HGTC is thrilled about this new partnership with CCU for our Business Administration students. Prior to this agreement, only a few business-related courses were direct transfers to CCU,” said Theresa Strong, Academic Chair & Professor-HGTC Department of Business Administration. “With the completion of HGTC’s Associate in Applied Science degree in Business Administration, students can transfer directly to CCU and begin their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration as Juniors.”
“CCU is our greatest partner as they have opened the door to so many transfer agreements with us,” said HGTC President, Dr. Marilyn M. Fore. “This latest two plus two degree with CCU is a wonderful opportunity for our local business students, who want to remain in our community, to begin with us. These agreements not only benefit our students but also our entire area.”
"We are pleased to partner with HGTC to ensure students, with the appropriate preparation, can transfer seamlessly into the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration programs at Coastal Carolina University," said Barbara Ritter, Ph.D., Dean of the E. Craig Wall, Sr. College of Business Administration.
The agreement has been officially signed by both Dr. David Decenzo, President at CCU and Dr. Marilyn M. Fore, President at HGTC.
Fall classes at HGTC began August 26, and financial aid and scholarships are still available.
