Facebook live week will showcase online programs
(CONWAY) Mar. 23, 2017 -- Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) has launched the Distance Learning Institute (DLi), an affordable and flexible online degree option for today’s busy student. HGTC will host a Virtual open house week on Facebook Live April 3-5, to showcase online degree programs.
“Whether you live in Myrtle Beach or out-of-state, the Distance Learning Institute gives you the ability to pursue a degree online while still working and maintaining a busy schedule,” said DLi Director Dan Hoppe. “DLi provides the same quality, affordable education that HGTC students enjoy, with the added bonus of online flexibility.”
DLi is now enrolling for summer classes in marketing, business administration, accounting and administrative office technology and will launch new online degree programs in the fall in Associate in Arts, hospitality management, medical coding and billing and medical administrative assistant.
All virtual open house events will take place at 6:00 p.m. on HGTC’s Facebook page, facebook.com/gohgtc. Viewers who participate by liking or commenting on one of the live sessions will have their application fee waived.

HGTC offers college transfer and skilled associate degree programs in more than 80 fields of study. Nearly all programs feature internships that lead to jobs. Ninety-five percent of students either transfer to earn advanced degrees or start careers in their respective fields of study.
