Run into the future on April 9 with a tasty finish

Running Into the FutureConway, SC —A 5k wellness run, complete with blood-pressure checks and freshly made smoothies, is the inaugural event celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Horry-Georgetown Technical College. The race starts at 9 a.m., Sat., Apr. 9, at 950 Crabtree Lane on the HGTC Grand Strand Campus near The Market Common. Registration is $20, which includes tee shirt, participation items and refreshments. Children may run for free.

Chef Joseph Bonaparte from the International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach will provide nutritious smoothies, and HGTC healthcare faculty will provide blood-pressure checks and massages.
