Forestry/Wildlife students wrapping up internships from across the country
One of the unique features of the Forestry Management Technology Program at HGTC is that students must complete a 400 hour internship prior to graduation. This year more than 30 students participated in internships across the country at companies such as:
The Bureau of Indian Affairs in Nebraska, Botswana, Resource Management Service, American Forest Management, Clemson University, Nemours Wildlife Foundation, The S.C. Department of Natural Resources, Norfolk-Southern - Brosnan Forest, Brigman & Company, U.S.D.I. Geological Survey, Prevatte & Associates, Canfor Southern Pines, Domtar Paper, Palmetto Pulp & Timber, Forest Land Management, Inc., Echaw Creek Plantation, Quinby Plantation, Cox Wood and many other independent contractors and natural resource consultants.
HGTC's Forestry Management Technology program is the only accredited associate degree program of its kind in South Carolina.
