Alpha Nu Sigma wins awards
Alpha Nu Sigma, the HGTC chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, was recognized this past weekend at the Carolinas Regional Convention in Charleston, SC with the following awards:
- 1st Runner-up to Most Distinguished Chapter (making us the #2 chapter out of 84 chapters in North and South Carolina and the only chapter from South Carolina in the top 3)
- Beta Tau Continued Excellence Award (this is for being in the top 3 for at least 3 consecutive years)
- Distinguished College Project (for our work with new student orientations and COL105 visits)
- Distinguished Honors in Action Project (for our research and work with Miracle League)
- Best Honors in Action Project for Theme 2, Sports and Competition
- Distinguished Member (and Hall of Honor) – Kristleena Keller
- Distinguished Chapter Officers (and Hall of Honor) – Kelly Botoulas and Cynthia Lomax
- Continued Excellence Award for Advisors – Beth Carraway
- Carolinas Region Service Project Award (for our annual Christmas party for the Seacoast Youth Academy children)
