College Costs and Financial Aid
The Financial Aid Office at HGTC seeks to provide assistance to anyone who demonstrates financial need and has a desire to go to college. The responsibility for meeting college costs lies primarily with the student and the student’s family; however, financial aid can help bridge the gap between the cost of your education and what you can afford to pay.
The majority of HGTC students receive some form of financial aid to help cover their educational expenses. Do not assume that you will not qualify for assistance—apply! All students are encouraged to apply early for financial aid, and to reapply for each school year in attendance. Our priority deadline is March 1st, but you may apply at any time.
To apply for financial aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Remember to include HGTC’s school code, 004925.
Financial Aid at HGTC can take the form of grants or scholarships, student loans, or work study funds. We also offer educational benefits for veterans.
