The Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) Foundation Board of Directors is delighted to announce the much-anticipated 16th Annual Gala, themed "Passport to Paris," sponsored by MINDZERØ. The gala will take place on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the prestigious HGTC International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach. Each year, the HGTC Foundation invites the community to participate in the virtual silent auction and attend this traditionally sold out, signature event to partake in an evening of elegance while supporting the mission of the HGTC Foundation.
Mrs. Shannon Detzler, President & CEO of the HGTC Foundation, expressed her enthusiasm for the event, stating, "The Annual Gala is a testament to our community's unwavering dedication to the success of HGTC students. We are grateful for the generous support of our sponsors and attendees, whose contributions directly impact the lives of our students and the growth of our institution."
Dr. Marilyn Murphy Fore, President of HGTC, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the gala's significance in advancing the College's educational endeavors. The Virtual Silent Auction, running from February 19 to March 2, will feature an array of enticing packages, including Chef-Catered Dinner Parties, Spa Packages, Dining & Nightlife Attractions, and Travel Packages. Interested participants can peruse the auction items and place their bids on the HGTC Foundation website.
The Gala promises an unforgettable experience, featuring an exquisite hors d'oeuvre and champagne reception, live entertainment, a virtual silent auction, and a five-course dinner meticulously crafted by HGTC professional chef instructors and students. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit scholarships for HGTC students.
